What’s the difference between donating and sponsoring?
Every gift to the Chelsy Marise Giles Foundation — whether a donation or sponsorship — helps advance our mission of epilepsy awareness, education, and support. Both are fully tax-deductible and directly benefit Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and the families we serve. Here's how they work:
Donations
Donating to the Chelsy Marise Giles Foundation fuels year-round efforts in epilepsy education, advocacy, and community outreach. Donations support vital programs at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, including epilepsy research and care initiatives, as well as the Foundation's direct efforts to raise awareness and provide resources for the epilepsy community.
When you donate through Chelsyfest, you also become a member of the Chelsyfest Giving Circle — our community of supporters who keep the circle unbroken, year after year. Giving Circle members enjoy exclusive day-of perks based on their level of support, including free beer, door prize tickets, Chelsy Dollars, and a free t-shirt.
Sponsorships
Chelsyfest, our signature annual fundraising event, honors the life and spirit of Chelsy Marise Giles by bringing the community together for a day of music, food, craft beer, family-friendly activities, and local vendors.
At the heart of every sponsorship is Camp Carpe Diem — Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's camp designed specifically for young people living with epilepsy — giving kids a place to belong and thrive.
Sponsorships make Chelsyfest possible, fund scholarships to send campers to Camp Carpe Diem, and extend the Foundation's reach into broader epilepsy outreach and community support year-round. With recognition opportunities for both individuals and businesses, sponsors are celebrated as essential partners in everything we do.
